Administrative Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer for office support which includes answering calls; typing in Word, Excel, and Power Point for composing and/or editing a variety of documents; mail outs; working on special projects, etc. Developing and maintaining a well-organized filing system that permits easy reference and rapid retrieval of information. Assisting with organizing meetings and/or special events, including arranging for catering, locations, and distribution of information.
Community Awareness Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to assist in implementing community-based projects such as brain injury awareness, helmet, and injury prevention to increase awareness around CBIS’ mission and goals.
Event Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to assist with planning and executing events. Help in facilitating events with the support of other CBIS team members. Time commitment is 4 hours per week and up to 8 hours on event days.
Fundraising Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to assist with planning and executing community fundraisers. Help in facilitating fundraisers with the support of other CBIS team members.
Grant Writer
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to assist in writing grants to play a critical role in our fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Executive Director, the grant writer will be part of the CBIS team that works on all aspects of fundraising. The primary goal of the grant writer is to successfully write and submit grant proposal applications to foundations, corporations and/or government. Core responsibilities include the full cycle of activities relating to grants: identifying and qualifying prospective funders, writing letters of inquiry, concept briefs, grant proposals, interim and final reports, ensuring accurate database records and working with stakeholders to actively engage granting partners. The grant writer must be detail-oriented, have strong project management and follow-through, and organizational skills.
Information Technology Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to assist CBIS team with problem-solving to determine source of software or hardware problems and perform appropriate repairs or modifications as necessary. Install, configure, troubleshoot and test computer systems software, applications and hardware. Assist with planning, estimating and recommending of technology changes and improvements to maximize efficiency.
Marketing Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to support the Executive Director with planning, executing, and tracking marketing programs, and new marketing strategies. Support may include analyzing data to monitor campaigns and evaluate results, creating and managing marketing material, helping with the organization of events, and providing project-specific administrative support.
Peer Support Assistant
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to assist Peer Mentors in planning and executing programs for peers. Support includes set-up to organize furnishings, supplies, equipment, and refreshments for programs.
Program Assistant
CBIS is searching for volunteers to provide support by:
One-on-One – Engaging with individual survivors or caregivers and participate in leisure activities, including cards, games and taking walks for social engagement.
Group – Setting up and participating in group social engagement. Set-up can include organizing furnishings, supplies and equipment for projects and programs, making and serving refreshments, and teaching activity techniques to the participants.
Social Media Support
CBIS is searching for a volunteer to provide customer service and interaction via social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter to name a few. Social media support will raise CBIS awareness in the community.
